4Thorne curated a merchandise line that effectively embodied the rugged and adventurous essence of the Bronco. Additionally, we undertook the development of compelling advertising materials to not only promote the merchandise line but also to generate increased traffic to the Bronco website and to the short film the Bronco team produced in Iceland.
The Ford Bronco has a storied history in Iceland, dating back to the 1960s when it was first introduced as a reliable and capable vehicle for traversing the country's rugged terrain. Over the years, the Bronco became a popular choice among Icelandic drivers, thanks to its off-road capabilities and durability in extreme conditions.
Ford celebrated the Bronco's legacy in Iceland by taking the all-new 2021 Bronco to the country for a new adventure. The Bronco Iceland campaign showcased the vehicle's advanced off-road features and paid homage to the original Icelandic Traverse. The campaign was a huge success and reignited interest in the Bronco among outdoor enthusiasts and fans of the vehicle.
The Bronco is a legendary vehicle known for its rugged capabilities and adventurous spirit, and the Iceland campaign was a perfect opportunity to showcase those qualities in an epic location. My task was to create a merchandise line that captured that spirit and appealed to the campaign's target audience.
The process began with in-depth research of the campaign's audience and messaging to ensure that the designs would be aligned with those elements. From there,we explored different design concepts and eventually settled on a few that worked well for the merchandise line.
The designs included t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, stickers, and other items, all with a distinctive style that captured the rugged and adventurous spirit of the Bronco. The use of bold colors, dynamic typography, and imagery showcased the Bronco in action to create designs that would appeal to outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers.
Once the designs were finalized, we began the process of producing the merchandise, ensuring that each item was of the highest quality and would stand up to the wear and tear of outdoor activities.
But creating the merchandise line was only part of the project. We also had to create an advertising campaign to promote the merchandise and drive traffic to the Bronco website. The ads used bold imagery and colors, along with clear messaging that emphasized the Bronco's capabilities and adventurous spirit.
The result of the project was a resounding success increasing engagement in ads by close to 450% from their previous campaigns. The merchandise line sold out quickly, and the ads also drove a significant amount of traffic to the Bronco website.
In the end, the success of the project was a testament to the collaborative effort of the entire team. From the concept phase to the production and marketing of the merchandise, everyone worked together to create a successful campaign that captured the adventurous spirit of the Bronco and resonated with its target audience.
